The November monthly medal took place at the Osprey Golf Club at Belmont Bay, a few miles from the Potomac Mills shopping center. It was a cold but sunny day. Well.. more cold than sunny.
Only 8 people could play. Enough for it to be officially a monthly medal according to the club's bylaws.
For the first time in a while, Neezam clinched the first place with a stunning victory collecting 34 points overall. He brought home a $50 gift card for Goose Creek Golf Club courtesy of CAMAR Event and Travel Services LLC. He also brought home a medal worth $30.
Second place goes to Aemran who was also announced the winner of the Battle of the 24th Cup for the month. Up next was Taufiq in the third place and Mazlan 4th.
The other players did pretty well too but the cold winter condition stopped them short from winning the presents. They are Hamairuddin, Nazrol, Salleh and Abd Rahim (not in particular order).
We will see if there is still time for December Monthly Medal and whether Neezam will be able to defend his title since he is not playing 21 handicap, while Aemran plays 20 handicap.

Ambassador Farewell Golf
Dear golfers,
I hope you could clear your Saturday's schedule 'cause we are going golfing!
It's going to be a farewell golf for our ambassador.
Currently we are planning to hold it at the Greystone Golf in White Hall, MD (near Baltimore).
The location is not confirmed yet.
There will be people from New York playing together as well.

Result: November 2011 Monthly Medal
The Thanksgiving Holiday was not a reason for our golfers not to enjoy the beautiful weather ahead. In fact, it was one of the main reason why we were able to play during the busy November month.
The Little Bennett Golf Course in Maryland has been chosen to hold the monthly tournament this time.
Early in the morning, the temperature was still in the mid 40's and everyone was wearing thick layers.
However, after 4-5 holes, the layers came out, because the temperature has reached high 50's and it was one of the perfect weather to play golf. It's considered as a luxury since the month of December is just days away, where the cold weather is lurking.
As a result, a lot of players played their best games.
Mazlan, with the handicap of 10, still managed to win the tournament by a huge margin. He scored a 35 points, 3 ahead of the closest rival. On the back-9 is where he scored most of the points, with 21 points total.
Mr Shahril was the 1st runner-up, continuing his great improvement, by scoring 17 at the front and 15 at the back, bringing up the total to 32 points. Dato Othman came close behind, with only 1 point separating them on the first nine, scoring 16 and 15 for a total of 31 points.
The three of them were awarded with a single handicap stroke, making Mazlan a 9 handicapper, DCM 21 and Dato Othman 11.
The rest of the field were not disappointing as well, with Taufiq scoring 30 points, Faizal with 28, Col Hisham with 27 and Mr Nasa with 26 points. Tamizi and Salleh had a below par performance scoring 23 and 16 points between them. However, this is golf, and we know that it's just one of those days. Both players are a great contenders and will bounce back in the next tournament for sure.
Among the other players who were enjoying the great weather outside were Datin Aishah, Datin Ana, Adawi, Hj Suhaimi, Mr Isham and a newcomer, Mr Fadhli.
The Malaysian (and friends) Golfers in DC would also like to bid farewell to Mr Isham who are going back to Malaysia, and Mr Nasa who will be playing golf in Peru in the near future. They have both been a great members of the club, and Mr Nasa had been a strong contender for every Monthly Medal Tournament.

Dear fellow golfers,
Congratulation for all players who helped DC to keep our trophy in DC vs NY Annual Golf over the weekend.
As what Fred Couples said to the US President's Cup team members, "It was a team effort, not just individual performance."
We are going to have another round of golf, this time it will be at the Little Bennett Golf Course. (direction)
Tee time is 9:00am and we should be there at 8:30am because we are going to join another tournament that's going on and play in a Shotgun Format.
Join the game, as we would also like to to bid farewell to our good friends and members of the club, Mr Isham and Mr Nasaruddin.

Merdeka Golf Result
It has been a while since we've updated any result from the monthly golf.
Busy and all.
Moekiya won the Merdeka Golf Tournament and he said that it was the first time he won the first place since playing together with the Malaysian friends for almost 8 years already.
Well Moekiya, you deserved it.
He scored 33 points, collecting 5 pars and 9 bogeys along the way.
Tied by point but lost on the count back was Mazlan.
He had 10 pars but only 3 bogeys, playing 10 handicap took a heavy toll on him.
BGen Othman won the 3rd place with 30 points by scoring 1 birdie, 4 pars and 7 bogeys.
Mr Salleh and Mr Faizal tied for the 4th and 5th place, but Salleh won it by OCB.
They both scored 28 points where Salleh shot 4 pars while Faizal 1 birdie and 3 pars.
Faizal did bring back a novelty prize of his own, winning the Nearest to The Pin on hole 13.
Mazlan won the other novelty prize, which is the longest drive on hole 10.
We also welcome a newcomer to the club, Mr Rahim and Mr Jusnaidi.
Hopefully you will be able to join us in the upcoming tournaments too.

Monthly Medal: July 2011
Ambassador JJ brought home the medal for the 3rd time this year.
With that, he took home the cup sponsored by DCM, Mr Shahril, for good (he promised to sponsor a new cup though)
Playing with 10 handicap, DSJJ still managed to score 16 points on the front 9 and 19 points at the back for a total of 35 points.
The race for 2nd and 3rd was much closer with Mr Taufiq scoring 18 and 14 for a total of 32 points. Brid Gen Othman with 31 points and While Mr Hafiz and Mr Shahril, DCM, tied with 30 points for 4th and 5th.
It was a close-match indeed when we see Mr Tamizi, who's playing with handicap 15, came in the 6th with 29 points.
Up next was Lt Col Hisham with 27 points and 1 point behind him was Mr Suhardi with 26 points.
Other members were not doing bad either.
All-in-all, this was one of the toughest fight we have seen all season long.
Thanks to all players who made the tournament worthwhile:

Malaysian Golf DC: April 2011
Dear golfers,
It was an exciting Master's Week indeed.
We saw Tiger roaring and the Aussies approaching, but in the end, it was the South African who won.
To cap the excitement, we'll be having our April tournament at none other than the Renditions Golf Course - which has 3 holes replicating the Augusta National Golf Club.
