Special Monthly Medal (March) of 2011

Dear fellow golfers,

Happy Monday morning :) happy

I believe by now, words had spread out that we are going to have a special monthly medal on March 19th 2011
Preparation is on its way and the venue had been selected.
It is indeed going to be the majestic Old Hickory Golf Club in Woodbridge, VA, as per possible rumor that's going around.
Yes, you read it right, Woodbridge. It is not the home for Potomac Mills Outlet alone.
The course is located only 15 minutes from the outlet itself, in case you plan to spend the winning money there after the tournament.

We have booked 5 tee-times for the tournament on Saturday.
So please let me, Col Othman, or Mr Salleh know early on if you are going to play.
We need to have the confirmed head count on Thursday for any last minute change.

Throughout the week, we will provide latest update about the tournament on our website: http://malaysiangolfdc.info
so that everyone will be hyped-up about it.

Please find the latest handicap of the current active and inactive players on the website as well.
The handicap was last updated on 2/28/2011 after our February Medal. A few players were added today to prepare for Saturday tournament.

Have a good day

Greetings Golfers,
It had been a great year last year when we won the NY/DC games. It is going to be another great year, if we keep on training to maintain our skill level and sharpness. So keep on playing and bring your handicap down. We encourage new players to keep our club more lively and participate in our monthly medal. Keep swinging golfers.

TW's Tip of the Day:
No. 6 is a strategic par-5, 530 yards from the white tees that requires three shots to get to the green. You can't cut take any shortcuts here. You also need to be sure of the accuracy of your second shot as the fairway turns to the right and the green is slightly to the right. You will need a very long tapered shot on this hole. There is also a false front to the green so be careful about placement or your ball could roll back down that front. But for Col. Othman, with his three quality shots to the green, he will easily get birdie or at least par for this hole. So, for the rest jangan 'up', ingat jangan 'UP'.
