Malaysian golfers gather again over the weekend to play our monthly tournament for the month of July. 12 golfers participated in the event that was held at the Medal of Honor Golf Course, in the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.
Weather was great with temperature around 70-80 degrees. The sun was out and the sky was a little bit cloudy. So it wasn't too hot either. Perfect weather.
Mr Mazlan and Col Othman who were playing in group 1 and 3 respectively scored 33 points to share the lead. Col Othman, however, won the monthly medal based on his back-9 score.
Mr Taufiq and Lt Col Hisham, shared the 3rd place after both scored 31 points overall. Lt Col Hisham took the 3rd place based on his back-9 score.
A notable play by newcomer, Mr Azman, with 3 pars including a marvelous start with par, par, bogey, bogey, bogey in his first 5-holes, despite playing with handicap 24, earned Mr Azman the 5th place with 30 points.
